As National President of the Fed, I’m delighted to help launch another successful Home News Delivery Month—a time when we shine a spotlight on one of the most vital services our members provide. Home news delivery isn’t just about newspapers arriving at doorsteps; it’s about community connection, reliability, and the personal touch that independent retailers bring to thousands of homes across the UK, day in day out. It deserves to be celebrated.
This month is a fantastic opportunity to recognise the dedication of our members who brave early mornings, unpredictable weather, and logistical challenges to ensure that their customers (newspaper readers) never miss a headline. The enthusiasm and professionalism shown in the past two years during HND Month by retailers is truly inspiring, and with more competitions and offers, as well as a daily prize draw worth £200 available again this year, this can only get better.
With over 1,000 retailers registered to take part, it’s clear that HND remains the backbone of many businesses. The support from publishers, wholesalers, and trade bodies has once again been very positive, and together we’re reinforcing the importance of this service in today’s fast-paced world, as well as showing that we can all work together for the same goal – Increasing sales.
To every member participating, your commitment keeps communities informed and connected, and your efforts deserve every bit of recognition this month brings.
